Biography

Lieutenant General John J. Yeosock was one of the highest ranking military officers from the Wyoming Valley. His 33-year military career ended in August 1992, when he retired as a 3-star general. During his time in the U.S. Army, he served in Vietnam as a senior district adviser and was assigned as the project manager for the Saudi Arabian National Guard Modernization Program, where he helped build hospitals and helped that country build its military against Sadam Hussein. In 1990, he returned to Saudi Arabia to oversee more than 333,000 military personal during Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
